## What to add

- Primary and alternate logos
- Fonts and licensing notes
- Color values and accessibility rules
- Voice, tone, and messaging guidance
- Approved images, icons, and examples
- Existing guidelines or a useful reference link

## Keep it current

Replace retired files and add the reason behind important rules. The brand kit should answer the repeated questions that would otherwise appear in every brief.

## Existing brand or rebrand

Choose existing brand when the current system should guide the request. Choose rebrand when the identity, voice, or rules themselves are part of the work. A rebrand request still benefits from the strongest current assets because they show what is changing and what may need to remain recognizable.

## Make linked material accessible

For Drive, Dropbox, Notion, Figma, and other external sources, use a sharing setting the delivery team can open. Test the link in a private browser window. Add a short note explaining which file or page is authoritative when the destination contains several versions.

## Treat the brand kit as a maintained source

Remove retired logos, replace outdated type or color rules, and explain exceptions. Brand kit reminders indicate that useful context is still incomplete. Fix the missing source once rather than repeating the same explanation in every request.

## FAQ

### Should I choose existing brand or rebrand?

Choose existing brand when the current system should guide the work. Choose rebrand when the visual or verbal system itself is part of the work.

### Why can the team not open my brand link?

Check the sharing permission in Figma, Drive, Dropbox, or Notion. Test the link in a private browser window before relying on it.

### What happens when a linked brand file is replaced?

Update the brand kit reference and confirm the new destination is shared with the people who need it. A link can remain visible while its permissions or underlying file have changed.

## Agent guidance
