## Settings areas

- Workspace: organization identity and team controls
- [Slack icon] Connections: Slack and available integrations
- Profile: your name, photo, and account preferences
- [Notifications icon] Notifications: available delivery preferences
- [Link icon] Links: default link and embed behavior
- Templates: reusable request starting points when available

## Billing is separate

Plan, invoices, billing details, and agreements live in [Billing icon] Billing rather than the general [Settings icon] Settings area.

## Workspace and personal settings are different

Workspace identity, team access, services, shared brand context, and connections affect the organization. Profile, link display, calendar, and notification choices can be personal. Check the section heading before assuming a change will apply to everyone.

## Your role controls what can change

Admins can manage organization-wide controls such as people, roles, Slack, and billing. Users and Light users can still see and update the personal settings available to them. A visible but read-only control usually means an Admin decision is required.

## Confirm changes where they take effect

After updating a logo, role, service, connection, or preference, return to the board or relevant request and confirm the expected result. Billing remains a separate top-level area because subscription, invoice, and agreement changes have different permissions and consequences.

## FAQ

### Why can I see a setting but not change it?

Your workspace role may be read-only for organization settings. Ask a workspace admin to make the change or update your role.

### Which settings affect everyone in the workspace?

Workspace identity, team roles, services, shared brand context, connections, and templates are organization-level. Profile, notifications, links, and calendar preferences can be personal.

### Why is a Settings control missing for me?

The control may require Admin access, may not apply to the current plan, or may live in Billing instead. Confirm your role from Team before asking an Admin to make the change.
