Board, list, search, and sort

Choose the right view, find a request quickly, and reorder work without changing its meaning.

Inside PIWOT℗
PIWOT℗ request toolbar with search, view, sort, trash, and New request controls

The request toolbar keeps search, board or list view, sorting, deleted items, and creation together.

01

Choose a view

Board view shows the full status flow and supports drag-and-drop movement between columns. List view is denser, keeps Active work prominent, and is often easier to scan on a smaller screen.

02

Find a request

  1. 01Open Search from the request toolbar or use the command shortcut shown in the field.
  2. 02Search by request title, service, client context, or another visible identifier.
  3. 03Choose the matching result to open the exact request.
03

Sort without changing status

  • Default keeps the board order chosen by the team
  • Last activity brings recently changed requests forward
  • Urgency groups higher-priority work first
  • Sorting changes presentation, not the request status
04

Board and list answer different questions

Board view makes flow and Active capacity visible. List view is better when you need to scan more requests, compare metadata, or work on a smaller screen. Switching views does not change request status or ownership.

05

Search and sort are temporary views

Search narrows the visible requests by useful matching text. Sort changes the display order using the available option, but does not move a request between Backlog, Active, Needs Input, and Done. Clear the search before assuming a request was deleted.
